About Ricky

Ricky Kurihara is an entrepreneur, security and risk management consultant with more than 25 years of business experience.  He has an extensive background in planning and managing cross-functional business operations and technology projects.

He is analytical, strategic and a conceptual thinker who effectively partners with other professionals to assess opportunities, facilitate strategic decisions, and drive successful implementations.

Ricky's ability to assess complex situations and identify appropriate solutions underscores his ability to gain meaningful insight and follow up with thorough analysis.  He is skilled at group facilitation and enjoys forging consensus among people with diverging ideas and opinions.

Ricky has managed a broad array of projects in industries ranging from residential, commercial, government, military and others.

Ricky owned and operated Elite Security Systems LLC from 1990 to 2009 until the company was sold, served in the United States Air Force in Telecommunications Command, former Hawaii Deputy Sheriff, 14 years at Oceanic Time Warner Cablevision as a technician and recently returned as their Security Consultant until 2013.

Risk Source Hawaii provides Owner's Representative services, Entrepreneurship Business Development and Security Consulting.  Risk Source Hawaii was founded in 2011 and is managed by Ricky.
